Animalympics Competition at E17 Art Trail Warm-Up day

Phew! What a great day we had at the E17 Art Trail 2011 Warm-Up in Walthamstow Town Square today! E17 Art House Picture Framers and Gallery was invited to join the E17 Art Trail fun ahead of its September start.
We set up our Animalympics Children’s Art Competition table where children could draw a picture or take an entry form to create their masterpiece at home for the competition.

There are great prizes to be won, including fantastic art materials from Jackson’s Art Supplies, and printmaking sessions with artist Kirsten Schmidt.
Prizes will be awarded in each age group, and we have now added a special Under 5s category.
20 selected entries will also be displayed in the super Animalympics Art Exhibition at E17 Art House Picture Framers and Gallery in May 2012!

Competition closing date is 30th November 2011.

Animalympics entry forms are available at E17 Art House, just off Church Hill. Completed forms to be brought back by the parent/guardian with the competition entry pictures.

E17 Art House will be closed from Monday 1st to Friday 5th August 2011.
Normal opening hours resume on Saturday 6th August 9.30am-5.30pm and Monday-Friday 10am-6pm.

Local artists exhibit at E17 Art House picture framers and gallery

 

The Forest Painters, Private View at E17 Art House Gallery

Wednesday was the Private View for the Walthamstow-based Forest Painters’ art exhibition. Thanks to all who came along, it was a wonderful evening.
E17 Art House picture framers and gallery are happy to support The Forest Painters art class. The picture frames chosen really complement the artwork, and we hope this show has inspired The Forest Painters to produce and exhibit more great work!
 
The Forest Painters art exhibition runs until 28th July 2011 at E17 Art House.

The Forest Painters Art Exhibition

 

The Forest Painters; 19th-28th July 2011 E17 Art House

E17 Art House Gallery is hosting a new art exhibition, starting this Tuesday 19th July, showing work from a local Walthamstow painting class.

The Forest Painters Art Class Exhibition

 
A selection of work from the Forest Painters art class who paint different beautiful sites in and around Walthamstow, in a group taught by artist Lisa Ivory.

Some of the paintings will be sold in aid of Leprosy Mission, some in aid of  a local charity – Thuso ( a Waltham Forest charity to support orphans with food and education at a school in South Africa) and some in aid of Cat and Kitten Care.
